LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

As Lead Artist at Wahoo Studios, I was responsible for creating concept art, models, textures and animation for use in real-time gameplay. As lead artist I also supervised other artists to ensure that all art assets remain consistent in style and theme. Also among my duties was to track assets and assign them to specific artists .
Wilderness Program Youth Councillor 2000-2002 (Lead Staff) During my Time at a residential youth home called Sunhawk Academy, I worked my way up to become Lead Staff. As Lead Staff it was my duty to take the patients on treks through the Utah/Arizona desert. The patients where teens who had drug problems or run-ins with the law. It was my job to coordinate the weeks activities, keep the daily schedule, record observations and take notes on patients for the therapists to review. I was also expected to train new staff members on basic protocol and intervention techniques. But first and foremost it was my job to keep everybody safe. I was required to radio in 3 times daily to headquarters, coordinate hikes to our next food and water drop, de-escalate conflicts and react calmly and swiftly in emergency situations.
Military Service 1997-2001 222nd Field Artillery Unit. 4 Years In the United States Army National Guard. While in the Guard I attained the rank of Corporal/Specialist as well as leader of my squad. As a Squad Leader I was responsible for up to 10 soldiers. Also as a Squad Leader it was my job to make sure my squad was always punctual, and prepared for drills, training and inspection . I was also responsible to report any misconduct among my squad to the First Sergent.
